This is a self-contained lesson for the GCSE history Elizabeth I unit. The resource is suitable for all exam board specifications and includes differentiated objectives, a starter, plenary and core activity(s). Differentiation in built into the activities, but is flexible enough that you can adapt to suit the specific needs of your class. No accompanying textbook is required; everything you need is in the PowerPoint. If you are new to teaching or are just looking to save time this PowerPoint is good to go – just make sure you read it through quickly first and get any printing done if necessary. If you are a more experienced professional you will be able to revise and adapt the resource to suit your personal style – nobody will ever know it wasn’t yours to begin with. The PowerPoint can be moulded to suit your specific unit of work and personalised to the needs of your class and your own personal style as a teacher. For a flavour of the style and quality of the resources on offer, please check out the free examples and samples. Don’t forget to check out the other resources available in the Elizabeth I series too If you are really happy with your purchase then please leave some positive feedback, it would be much appreciated.

Education in Nazi Germany - Mixed Ability/Differentiated

This powerpoint is best suited for key stage 3, though with a little tweaking it could easily be suitable for GCSE. The main activity requires some information from textbooks or handouts, if you use GCSE textbooks and journal articles it will be perfect for a higher level. Every slide is differentiated in some way and is therefore suitable for mixed ability teaching. Challenge is built in for the top end. I have left it set up with National Curriculum levels so you can convert them to whichever assessment your school is using instead. Take a look and see for yourself and then check out my other resources in case there's something there that would suit your students. Thank you.

Women in Nazi Germany - Mixed Ability/Differentiated

(0)
This powerpoint gives students the opportunity to compare how women were treated during the Weimar Republic era of German history, to the changes made during the Nazi regime. It is fully differentiated in a variety of ways. It is set up with old-style letter grades so you can adjust to the new numbers yourself. It is suitable for all exam boards but the practice question at the end is a 12 mark one in the style of Edexcel. It could easily be replaced with one from a different board. This lesson is good to go as it stands or can be developed to last a double lesson or even a sequence of lessons if you introduce a peer assessment element to the main activity. I hope it's really useful and cuts down on your prep time. Please check out my other resources. Thank you.

GCSE HISTORY: Medicine sample practice 12 mark questions and mark scheme (REVISION & PLANNING)

This is a really helpful list of sample 12 mark questions for the Edexcel GCSE History exam. Also included is a simplified version of Edexcel’s generic mark scheme for 12 mark medicine questions. These resources are suitable for teachers and students alike. They can be filtered into your planning and PowerPoints for lessons or if you are a student then you can answer these practice questions as part f your revision and ask your teacher to mark them for you. Let me know in the reviews what other resources you would like to see and I will add them as soon as possible.

GCSE HISTORY: ELIZABETH I: Problems: Marriage and Succession, Religion and War (all exam boards)

This is an almost self-contained lesson for the GCSE history Elizabeth I unit. Unlike the other lessons in this sequence a textbook is required for students to research the problems of marriage, succession, war and religion. This powerpoint should last for two lessons - one for preparation for the debate and the second lesson devoted to the debate and checking if objectives have been met. The resource is suitable for all exam board specifications and includes differentiated objectives, a starter, plenary and core activity(s). Differentiation in built into the activities, but is flexible enough that you can adapt to suit the specific needs of your class. No accompanying textbook is required; everything you need is in the PowerPoint and/or accompanying worksheets. If you are new to teaching or are just looking to save time this PowerPoint is good to go – just make sure you read it through quickly first and get any printing done if necessary. If you are a more experienced professional you will be able to revise and adapt the resource to suit your personal style – nobody will ever know it wasn’t yours to begin with!
